Ecreative Internet Marketing has just released version 0.8 update for our Trackable Social Share Icons WordPress plugin. This update adds to the functionality of the social media plugin:
- Added ability to have the social media icons appear at the top of posts, or the bottom of posts, or both the top and the bottom.
- Added the ability to separate out what kind of WordPress pages the icons appear on: just posts, just pages, or both (previously icons automatically appeared on both posts and pages, and only could be removed from excerpts).
- Added CSS block to allow users to further customize the look and feel of the icons and how they display on the page.
- Noscript Support — now share windows will still popup if JavaScript is not supported or if there is a Javascript error (for example: enabling Google Analytic Tracking when you don’t actually have Google Analytics, a problem several users have encountered).
- Added additional icons to various icon sets.
Of these changes, probably the most exciting is the addition of the CSS block that lets you do nearly anything you want with the display of the icons. Want to put them on vertically on the side of the page? Now you can! Want to increase the margins? Right align the icons? Put them in a colored box? With the editable CSS block right in the admin window, you can now format the way the icons appear on your pages in any way you want.
